Meet Lauren Olson from Temper, Temper

Guest layout artist  Lauren Olson from Temper,Temper shares her unique style with Gusto! 

Who is Lauren Olson:
I'm an artist, writer, poster-making machine and  a graphic designer here in Hamilton, Ontario.

LAUREN’S previous & current projects: Lauren was the social media coordinator for  Homegrown Hamilton, where she created the venue’s posters, videos, graphic design plus all of their social media content. Currently, Lauren just finished creating all of the artwork for Father Figure (a local Hamilton band)  for their new album: Beast coming out on October 5th. 2013  www.facebook.com/FatherFigureband

“I just finished the album artwork for the new Father Figure EP:  beast - I painted all of the album art on that and I hope other people love it and  think it looks rad!”

How does Lauren describe her art style: “I consider all of my art as sort of a tropism, done with out conscious thought - like automatic art - kind of. I have a hard time explaining myself here.” 

Lauren has many years under her belt as a layout artist for numerous publications, catalogues, business branding and poster art. Her artwork almost completely sold out at her featured art show at Homegrown Hamilton, in May 2013 ! 

What brings you to Gusto? 
“I Love that Gusto is a wellness magazine that focuses on the Hamilton community - specifically. It’s really cool, that  it’s so Hamilton specific, cause its;  the only one out there.”
